The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans will square off tonight in the second of three preseason games. The Buccaneers vs Titans game is set to kickoff at 6 p.m. tonight Central time. The game is taking place at Nissan Stadium in Nashville and will be on NFL Network. The backups and third strings as well as rookies will be receiving the majority of play time.
Cleaning up Mistakes
Kyle Trask and Blaine Gabbert will be receiving most of the snaps while Tom Brady is still away on a hiatus. Brady is expected to return sometime this coming week. In predictions for the game, the Bucs are minus three and the Titans are plus three. Uncertainty with the Bucs starters and the potential of Malik Willis makes the Titans the favorite. Trask will look to play better this week after a disappointing performance last week. Trask was 25 of 33 passing for 258 yards but threw an interception and had a fumble which turned into touchdowns. He is looking to make up for that this week and play a clean game.
The Titans are coming off a loss to the Ravens in preseason week one and are also looking to clean up mistakes. The Titans committed three turnovers with a pair of interceptions and a fumble. The Tennessee secondary also struggled giving up 28 completions for 259 yards and 6.8 yards an attempt. Trask and Gabbert should see success and complete a fair amount of passes against that secondary.
Malik Willis is the newly drafted quarterback for the Titans with a lot of potential. In the first game, he showed flashes but also struggled. He missed a wide open receiver Treylon Burks for a touchdown and was sacked twice. Burks is a hard receiver to miss especially after a one handed catch during joint practice against the Bucs. It is unknown what to expect from him play by play but he will show improvement. The Buccaneers vs Titans should be a close game.
