Brian Kelly really did it this time. The third-year head coach of the LSU Tigers found a way to sink to new depths in the college football world. The Tigers came into their Week 12 contest at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium losers of two straight contests.
LSU suffered a second half collapse at Kyle Field on Oct. 26 to drop a game to then-No. 14 Texas A&M 38-23. The Tigers followed that performance up by losing 42-12 at home against then-No. 11 Alabama at home.
Despite the losses, LSU entered Saturday’s game with a chance to make the SEC Championship. If the Tigers won the championship game, LSU would earn an automatic bid into the College Football Playoff.
Brian Kelly lost to a coach on the hot seat

Instead, the Tigers were outplayed by a Florida Gators program whose fanbase wanted head coach Billy Napier fired after a 4-5 start in 2024. LSU’s offense looked out of sync all afternoon, and Florida would capitalize on a Tigers’ fourth quarter fumble by scoring a touchdown to go up 20-13. They wouldn’t relinquish the lead and defeated LSU 27-16 to earn their fifth win of the year.
LSU outgained Florida in total yards (382-339), but the Tigers’ inability to sustain drives cost them a chance to turn around their season. LSU has no chance of winning 10 games, as they had in Kelly’s first two seasons.
College football fans think LSU should move on

College football fans on social media asked for Kelly’s firing, despite the fact it would cost LSU $60 million for his buyout.
“Reports of For Sale signs already on Brian Kelly’s lawn,” posted a fan.
“Brian Kelly has to be done at LSU,” suggested a fan.
“#1 Brian Kelly MUST go or we will continue to deteriorate,” believes one fan.
“For the love of all things holy can LSU football please fire Brian Kelly,” asked one poster.
“Ok LSU WE HAVE SEEN ENOUGH FIRE BRIAN Kelly before he leaves the looker room,” wrote a fan.

Yes, I totally agree. Fire B.k. without any buyout whatsoever. He’s just a looser and his players can’t stand to play under his leadership. Fire him now !!!!
