Brett Favre once ruled the NFL and brought one the most legendary franchises out of its doom years. When Favre took over in 1992, the Green Bay Packers started seeing success for the first time since the 1960s. His on-field achievements culminated in Green Bay’s 1996 Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots.
However, times have changed for the gunslinger and a documentary is about to expose exactly why.
Breaking: Brett Favre Sees Documentary Released That Exposes Everything

An upcoming Netflix documentary will explore the highs and lows of former NFL quarterback Brett Favre:
On Monday, Netflix announced that their popular “Untold” series will next release a documentary, “The Fall of Favre.” The episode on Brett Favre will air on May 20, the streaming service announced.
More from Netflix’s official announcement:
“The next batch of stories in the acclaimed series includes UNTOLD: The Fall of Favre. The tell-all documentary unpacks the life of Brett Favre, best known as the Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback who nabbed three NFL MVPs and led his team to a Super Bowl championship.
But Favre also had a pattern of unchecked behavior off the field, including an explicit text message scandal and involvement in a massive welfare fraud scheme. “
Favre was the face of the NFL in the 1990s, leading the Green Bay Packers two NFC Championships and a Super Bowl 31 victory. Favre won three straight MVP Awards from 1995 to 1997 and retired as the NFL’s all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns leader, though those records have since been broken.

But Favre has been the subject of multiple controversies in his post-playing career. In 2020, it was reported that the Pro Football Hall of Famer (married to Deanna Favre since 1996) sent inappropriate photos and text messages to reporter Jenn Sturger while he was with the New York Jets in 2008.
The NFL subsequently fined the Green Bay Packers legend $50,000 for “failure to cooperate” in their investigation of the “sexting” scandal.
Additionally, Brett Favre was said to be part of the damning Mississippi welfare funds scandal. Some of the state’s welfare funds were reportedly used to build a new volleyball at his alma mater, the University of Mississippi.
A leaked text message showed Favre asking if the media could find out where the funds came from, and how much money was stolen.

This is a full look at Favre’s career stats:
