For those who may not be the biggest college football fans,  or are NFL purists, I feel you. It is somewhat of a momentous commitment to dedicate not one, but both weekend days to the beautiful sport of football. Nevertheless, for those who do not participate and spectate the sport, you are missing out on not only some fantastic storylines, comebacks and special players, but some absolute howlers for mistakes.

Of all the silly, college-style mistakes, such as Mario Cristobal not understanding the concept of the quarterback kneel (and giving a clear example as to why the play actually exists), this is maybe one of the worst I’ve seen when taken out of context.

As of the time of writing, it looks like Washington will probably win this game, and they did manage to get a safety on the next play, but even so, this is a pretty horrific – and of course somewhat reminiscent – error to make.

The player is question is none other than the famed Alphonzo Tuputala – Junior linebacker for the Huskies. Will this cost the Washington Huskies their season, if they lose, quite possibly. But is this still a pretty funny story to tell your friends
