Bill Belichick has spent the last month of the 2020 NFL regular season having his position speculated on loudly and indiscriminately. Over the past 24 hours, even, rumors have continue to circulate regarding possibilities concerning the 8 x Super Bowl champion’s future.
Earlier today, it was reported that Bill Belichick and Robert have already met to have initial discussions about the team and management personnel moving forward, per Jeff Howe.
Also in here, Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick had an initial discussion today with at least one more meeting expected to happen. https://t.co/Q43Egs4YDA

And it seems like, per Howe’s article, that Robert Kraft is still mulling his decision, and that there is still a possibility that Belichick returns as head coach of the Patriots in 2024.
Kraft was not expected to reach a decision Monday.
Belichick will need to lay out a firm plan to dramatically improve the on-field product after the Patriots’ worst record (4-13) of Kraft’s ownership.
How Could Bill Belichick Turn The New England Patriots Around?
One major way that Belichick could manage to get the Pats back on track, outside of drafting a shiny new quarterback with the 3rd (or higher) overall pick in this draft, would be reunite with one of the cornerstones of the Patriots mega-dynasty over the past two decades.
Part of that plan may include a reunion with former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who is considered a candidate to return, sources close to the situation said …
McDaniels and Belichick have remained close, and McDaniels has long been one of Kraft’s favorite members of the organization.
Considering New England had one of the most stuttering, non-starter offenses in the NFL, ranking 29th in Offensive DVOA, 30th in offensive yards and 31st in points, bringing in an offensive coordinator with a track record of success – as a coordinator at least – is certainly a move in the right direction towards rebuilding.
Having already stated a willingness to forgo total personnel control in the name of the best interest of the team (and his job), it may well be that we will see a New England Patriots that will still be headed by arguably the greatest coach of all time, but in an incarnation we have not seen since he took over as Patriots coach nearly 25 years ago.
We shall see if Belichick’s plan’s are to the satisfaction of Robert Kraft, and if it ends up being enough to save his job. And if it is not, the media will undoubtedly have a field today predicting the coach’s next move, it should, without doubt, be a great watch.
