North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick has not yet coached a game for the university. However, he has given the football program more national attention and notoriety than it has had in years. Unfortunately, those headlines are not about the great things Belichick is doing on the field with the team, but rather his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.
The beauty pageant contestant, who recently finished as the second runner up in the Miss Maine competition, is 49 years younger than the legendary head coach and appears to have a great deal of influence over him.
Many Are Concerned About Bill Belichick Being Influenced by Jordon Hudson

While there were many who questioned the relationship between Belichick and Hudson when it first became public, most of those questions surrounded their age gap. In recent weeks, however, people are less concerned about the age difference and more about how much Hudson is involved in the coach’s day-to-day dealings.
The now-infamous CBS interview with Belichick that saw the network leak audio of Hudson remarking “We’re not going to talk about that,” interrupting a question asked to the North Carolina coach about how he met his girlfriend, has seen many people question Belichick.
It has also led to both the university and head coach release statements reiterating the fact that Hudson is not a North Carolina employee, nor does she have anything to do with Belichick’s day-to-day work in regard to the football program.
She does, however, have a great deal of influence over him in regard to his off-the-field projects and pursuits.
Bill Belichick Reveals Jordon Hudson Idea to Thank Tom Brady

The CBS interview, of course, was meant to market Belichick’s newest book. Unfortunately, for him, the network cancelled their second interview with him because of Hudson’s behavior during the first one.
However, the six-time Super Bowl champion has been making other media appearances, including one on “The Pivot” where he details how Hudson came up with a creative way for him to thank the people in his life who inspired his book.
“She had a lot to do with it,” Belichick said. “One of the great ideas that she came up with was, when I was writing the acknowledgments and kind of tribute to Coach Parcells, Lawrence Taylor, Tom Brady, my dad… she came up with the idea of why don’t you give them their page.”
Hudson’s idea, though, went further than just dedicating a page to each person. The page number on which their acknowledgment is written is symbolic. For example, Tom Brady’s acknowledgment is on page 199 in Belichick’s book, symbolic of the fact he was the 199th overall pick. Lawrence Taylor’s is on page 56, which is the jersey number that he wore.
A creative idea, for sure, one that Belichick really liked.
