There are great NFL head coaches, and then there is former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who remains the only one in league history to have won six Super Bowl titles. Indeed, the immaculate legacy he carved in New England is one that might never be replicated. His longevity with the Patriots is a rarity in today’s NFL, and it is hard enough to win one Super Bowl, let alone six.
That being said, Belichick’s tenure in New England came to an unceremonious end following the departure of Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When the legendary head coach failed to keep the team competitive, he was dismissed from his position(s).
What is more, no NFL team, despite several of them having head coaching vacancies, expressed any real interest in bringing him on. As a result, he took a year off and worked in media before accepting his first ever college head coaching job at North Carolina.
Unfortunately, his short time there has garnered far more negative publicity than positive, and he has not even coached a game for the Tar Heels yet.
Bill Belichick Has Given a Great Deal of Responsibility to His Girlfriend, Jordon Hudson
As fans are well aware, Belichick, who is 73 years old, is currently dating Jordon Hudson, who is 24. Their age gap relationship has been a source of controversy dating back to his final days with the Patriots.
Unfortunately, the controversy has followed him to North Carolina, though new issues have more to do with Hudson’s behavior than with the 49-year difference in their ages.
Recently, it became known that Belichick instructed university officials that any emails sent to him must also be sent to Hudson. Additionally, she was seen on the sidelines of the Tar Heel’s spring practices despite not being an official employee of the university.
But most recently, Hudson embarrassed the legendary head coach, North Carolina, and (frankly) herself during an interview that Belichick recorded with CBS.
Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, Threw a Tantrum During His Interview
Belichick was being interviewed by CBS to promote his new book. During the session, he was asked how he and Hudson first met. “We’re not talking about this,” Hudson can be heard saying from off camera.
Apparently, it was not the first time she interjected herself into the interview, but CBS decided to keep that specific incident in their broadcast so that everyone could see how difficult it was to interview Belichick with Hudson present.
And, according to TMZ, that was far from the worst interaction CBS had with her:
“At one point in the Q&A, Hudson got so heated … she stood up and walked out and wanted BB to follow. It’s unclear if Coach agreed, but the blowup delayed the whole interview for about half an hour. “We’re told once things calmed down, Dokoupil — who was “spooked” by the whole encounter — elected to wrap up things quickly and end the awkward experience. “As for how the dumpster fire of an encounter got edited — we’re told the higher-ups at CBS News and Sports had to get involved to figure out how to salvage it … and while a second interview was scheduled to go down at a later time, it was ultimately scrapped.”
