Wisconsin fans will be sick to their stomachs on Monday, April 1st, and sadly, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke but the reality that the Badgers just saw one of their biggest commits from the 2025 class de-commit.
Wisconsin Sees Cody Haddad Leave After Ohio State Visit
Safety Cody Haddad, who committed to the Badgers earlier this year, announced that he has de-committed from the Badgers.

Haddad is from Cleveland, Ohio, and visited Ohio State a few weeks ago. There should be no blaming Wisconsin for Haddad leaving the Badgers. It doesn’t help that Haddad is from Ohio, and almost every kid who grows up in Ohio wants to suit up and play for the Buckeyes one day.
Ohio State Stays Winning On And Off The Field
According to 247sports.com, Haddad is a three-star recruit ranked as the 33rd-best athlete in the country and the 15th-best recruit in Ohio.
The Badgers are used to losing to Ohio State on the football field, and now they are losing players to them off the field. The Badgers have to make sure that doesn’t keep happening because they will not be able to compete in the new Big Ten, losing big-time players to other Big Ten schools that could turn around and beat them on the field.
