The Cincinnati Bengals have put their money where their mouth is. Going into the 2025 season, there were multiple stars that needed to be paid. The Bengals got the deal done.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz:
BREAKING: #Bengals WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins exclusively tell me they’ve agreed to contract extensions with the team.
Ja’Marr gets: 4-years, $161M with $112M guaranteed — making him the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history.
Tee gets: 4-years, $115M with the first two years guaranteed — making him the highest paid WR2 in NFL history.

Ja’Marr Chase has been an essential part of Cincinnati’s offense ever since he joined the league. Quarterback Joe Burrow has been adamant that the team needs to sign both of these players.
It is well known that the Bengals are notorious for being cheap when it comes to negotiating contracts and extending long-term deals with players. When it came time for Burrow to negotiate, they couldn’t afford to lowball him.
“He deserves all he’s gonna get and more. Hopefully we can play together for as long as we’re in this league,” Burrow said of Chase.
