The Chicago Bears finished the 2024 NFL season with a 5-12 record. Chicago had the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and selected tight end Colston Loveland from the Michigan Wolverines.

The Bears are also trying to give everything they can to make quarterback Caleb Williams successful for the 2025 NFL season. They fired Matt Eberflus as head coach during the middle of the 2024 season. Chicago did keep Ryan Poles as general manager. The Bears also decided to hire former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as head coach moving forward. There are a lot of things that Chicago needs to look forward to moving forward.
Chicago Bears Reason To Look Forward To 2025 Is Ben Johnson

Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports listed one reason for each NFL team as to why they should look forward to the 2025 NFL season. The Bears were one of the more interesting teams on this list. Sullivan said,
“Arguably, the biggest addition throughout this entire offseason was the Chicago Bears landing Ben Johnson as head coach. In just his first offseason at the helm, you can already see his imprint on the roster with Chicago bolstering its offensive line and adding an array of weapons for second-year quarterback Caleb Williams. Johnson has shown us during his days as the Lions‘ offensive coordinator that he’s a tremendous play caller, and that is widely expected to translate to being a head coach. Chicago’s days in the dumps may be a thing of the past.”
Williams having an offensive head coach maybe able to help him moving forward. Johnson did wonders with Jared Goff and a running game in Detroit. Many people think that Campbell is going to miss him as his offensive coordinator during the 2025 NFL season.
Williams during his rookie season with Chicago had a 62.5% completion percentage with 3,541 yards passing, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 489 yards on 81 carries and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 6.0 yards per carry. Johnson should be able to open up the playbook for the former USC Trojans quarterback in the 2025 NFL season.
