The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best rosters in the NFL but could use some improvement across certain areas. The team currently sits nearly $10 million over the salary cap, which can cause them to work on a tight budget this offseason. One area that needs to be addressed is their edge defender group, especially with star players Jadeveon Clowney and Kyle Van Noy hitting free agency this offseason. Luckily for them, one of the better pass rushers in the game right now could become available for them to sign.
Baltimore Ravens Could Sign Star Pass Rusher
San Francisco 49ers star pass rusher Chase Young has become one of the favorites for Baltimore to sign this offseason. Young suffered a torn ACL a couple of years ago and was still able to perform well in his first full year back from the injury. While he hasn’t quite lived up to his draft status (number two overall in the 2020 draft), he is still a young player with a lot of potential.

Chase Young Career
Since coming into the league in 2020, Young has amounted to 100 total tackles and 16.5 sacks in his young career. His best year came in his rookie debut when he recorded seven and a half sacks with 44 tackles, which earned him the title of the league’s Defensive Rookie of the Year. However, the star suffered a torn ACL back in 2021, which caused him to play in just a few games in the following season.
Despite having a slow season in 2023, the star pass rusher looked like he was on the come up once again with the 49ers. In just a few games played, Young amounted to 10 tackles and two and a half sacks in his role with the team playing alongside Nick Bosa. Baltimore could become a good option for the star pass rusher to get back to full speed and establishing himself once again as one of the league’s premier pass rushers.
Will Baltimore Sign Young?
The Ravens have a history of signing veteran pass rushers to one-year contracts, which is why Young is favored to land in Baltimore as he is one of if not the best available option this offseason. Do you think that the star pass rusher will sign with the Ravens this offseason, or will he land with a different team in need of a decent edge rusher?
