After taking last week off, the Baltimore Ravens faced the Houston Texans in the divisional round. The Ravens showed they were not rusty, as they cruised to an easy win over the Texans. As a result, they get to host the AFC Championship next Sunday.
Baltimore Ravens Dominate Houston Texans
Believe it or not, this game was close in the first half. There was a 10-10 halftime score mostly due to a 67-yard punt return by Steven Sims of the Houston Texans. However, that would be the closest the Texans would come to winning this game.
Baltimore owned the second half and scored the final 24 points. This started with a 15-yard touchdown run by QB Lamar Jackson. In the fourth quarter, Jackson threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to TE Isiah Likely and then had another 8-yard touchdown run himself. All of this was enough for the Ravens to run away with this game.
Baltimore Ravens Moving Forward
The Baltimore Ravens now get to host the AFC Championship next Sunday. The city has not done so since 1971. Back then, the Colts were still in town.
They will face the winner of the Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs game tomorrow night. If it is the Chiefs, it will be the first time that Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh will face Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs. If it is the Bills, then the Ravens will have a chance to avenge their playoff loss to them three years ago.
