The LSU Tigers are trying to get over the hump and back to competing to national championships like they did a few years ago with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and company. Brian Kelly had success at Notre Dame — but there too — never got the Irish over the hump to win the ultimate prize in college football. LSU is a different beast. The Tigers play in the SEC — the best conference in the country where multiple fan bases expect national titles on a regular basis. Kelly has done well there so far, and even produced this year’s Heisman…

The Michigan Wolverines and QB JJ McCarthy knocked off the Alabama Crimson Tide in a thrilling overtime College Football Playoff semifinal game on Monday. All year long, Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan program has been clouded by a sign stealing scam, and there were plenty of Alabama fans that accused the Wolverines of cheating to help secure the massive victory. In November, Michigan became embroiled in an alleged sign-stealing scheme that involved impermissible, in-person scouting of opponents going back as long as three seasons. Both the NCAA and the Big Ten Conference, of which Michigan is conducted an intense investigation.…

The No. 1 Michigan Wolverines took care of business and knocked off a valiant effort from the Alabama Crimson Tide — a team that controversially was voted into the playoff but certainly looked like the right choice  Monday’s College Football Semifinal matchup at the Rose Bowl. While the game went back-and-forth for the entire 60 minutes and ended up going into overtime, Michigan QB JJ McCarthy and the Wolverines got the ball first and found the end zone quickly due to an impressive  run from Blake Corum , who set the school’s all-time rushing touchdown record on what ended up…

The Chicago Bears have a major decision to make when April comes around. Well they continue to ride with former Ohio State QB Justin Fields who has flashed at times but struggled mightily at others, or use their No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft to select USC dual-threat passer Caleb Williams, or one of the other top signal callers in this year’s class like Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels. Fields has shown more and more glimpses he can be the player the Bears drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but trade rumors remain more…

The New England Patriots are in unprecedented territory for the first time in more than two decades. Since 2000, the Patriots have only had three losing seasons — but none have been close to as bad as this year. With two games to go, they are last on the AFC East with a (4-11) record. A situation that has felt impossible considering the dynasty he built his now become a reality. For the first time since taking over the head coaching job with  Patriots, there is legitimate speculation one of the greatest coaches in NFL history will part ways with…

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had to deal with their fair share of drama this season, but somehow remain in the hunt for an AFC Wildcard spot with Mason Rudolph filling in as their third quarterback of the year. It seems like the Steelers always have a controversial wide receiver who creates chaos on the sideline and in the locker room while making headlines for all the wrong reasons. While the days of Antonio Brown’s antics feel like a distant memory in Pittsburgh, the Steelers have had their faire share of issues with second-year WR George Pickens this season. Following the…
