Incarnate Word quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr has been nothing short of a force to be reckoned with. Last week, Scott and the UIW Cardinals took down the Lamar Cardinals 56-17 in San Antonio. What most impressed the FCS world was Scott’s success against a Southland opponent. In the first half against Lamar, Scott threw for 401 passing yards and seven touchdowns with five different receivers reaching the end zone. “We found a way.” Northwestern State University of Louisiana notched a come-from-behind victory in a 36-33 win over Nicholls State University on Oct. 1 in Harry Turpin Stadium. NSU kept their composure and came away with their first 2-0 start in Southland Conference play since 2005.
