Week one for the San Francisco 49ers did end well for them. In addition to a tough loss against the Chicago bears, running back Elijah Mitchell exited the game early with a knee injury. On Monday, the team announced that Mitchell sprained his MCL. He will not be getting surgery on his knee but is set to miss about two months. The San Francisco 49ers lost 10-19 against the Bears in week 1 of the 2022 NFL season. Through heavy rain and devastating penalties, the 49ers gave up 19 points in the second half of the game. Despite losing their season opener, there were multiple standout players who show future potential for the team. Talanoa Hufanga Second-year safety Talanoa Hufanga had an outstanding game, making himself available all over the field.
