The Atlanta Falcons are undoubtedly on an upward trajectory.
In ESPN’s latest 2024 NFL free agency rankings, the Atlanta Falcons’ massive four-year, $180 million deal with quarterback, Kirk Cousins was named as one of the best signings thus far of the 2024 NFL off-season.
“Falcons signing QB Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million deal. Quarterback is the most important position in the game, so additions at that position are going to move the needle a lot more than at other positions. Cousins is a major upgrade over Desmond Ridder. He doesn’t make the Falcons Super Bowl contenders but does make them division favorites, so Atlanta fans will have a reason for optimism over the next couple of seasons.”
Atlanta Falcons Looking Forward to Massive 2024 Season
Following narrowly missing out on the playoffs in 2023, the Atlanta Falcons wasted no time in getting to work. The club parted ways with head coach, Arthur Smith, and following a brief time flirting with Bill Belichick, Raheem Morris was named the team’s next head coach.
With playmakers Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London, coupled with a top-tier offensive line, the Falcons are seemingly a quarterback away from truly contending in not only the NFC South but the NFC as a whole. That hole wasn’t long-lasting as the club agreed to terms with Kirk Cousins on a massive four-year, $180 million deal.
