The Cincinnati Bengals have had a horrible stretch with their quarterbacks this season. Obviously Cincinnati Superstar Quarterback Joe Burrow going down with a season ending injury three weeks ago was the worst part but now things seem to be getting worse for Cincinnati.

Bengals Quarterback Josh Browning exits with Hand Injury
As a fan of Cincinnati Sports, I can attest that when things look like they’re improving, its usually only for a brief moment. Cincinnati backup quarterback Jake Browning exited the game after apparently injuring his thumb. The play can be seen below. Video of the injury can be seen below:

AJ McCarron was recently picked up as a backup after the injury to Burrow as an alternative in case Browning went down. AJ McCarron was the Bengals backup quarterback under Andy Dalton for several years before becoming a star in the XFL recently. McCarron will finish the game out at quarterback.

It can be argued that the injury to Cincinnati quarterbacks is due after the offensive line has struggled so heavily for several years. It has been miraculous that the team hasn’t dealt with any substantial injuries at the quarterback position in the past several years while consistently sporting a horrible offensive line. The Bengals will hope to hear more news on the injury as the game continues and hopefully Browning returns to the starting lineup.

UPDATE: Jake Browning did shortly returned to the game and closed out a win against the Indianapolis Colts.
