Alabama QB Tyler Buchner Enters Transfer Portal…For Lacrosse
Buchner is not in the portal as a football player but as a lacrosse player. While some players are entering the portal to see if they can find another great football home, Buchner looks to be testing the waters of a whole other sport altogether. Jalen Milroe was the starter for most of the season and Buchner likely saw the writing on the wall at Alabama. Hopefully, he can find a spot to play lacrosse and have success.
Not A Huge Loss For The Crimson Tide
While a program never wants to lose a player, Nick Saban doesn’t have any issues getting players to come to Tuscaloosa. He has put together another final-four team and has been able to sustain success for a decade now. If he truly wants to play another sport, there isn’t much that Saban or his staff could do even if he was a top player. Right now, this is probably the least of Saban’s worries as he has to game plan to take down the top-ranked team in the nation.
Hopefully, Buchner will find a new place to play in 2024. With all the crazy transfer portal news coming out today, it was fun to see some news with a twist.
