Alabama has maintained its position as the top team in college football since 2009, a feat attributed mainly to the leadership of their former head coach, the legendary Nick Saban. Having retired earlier this year, the team’s reins have been handed over to the new head coach, Kalen DeBoer.

Miami, Ohio, kicker Graham Nicholson went to his X page on Sunday night, posted a letter thanking Miami, OH, for the last three years, and then announced he had committed to Alabama.

Nicholson was the best kicker in the 2023 college football season and even won the Lou Groza Award, given to the best kicker in the country. He was the first MAC player to bring home that honor.
Nicholson went 35 for 37 on XPs and 27/28 of field goals made last season, and the Crimson Tide has just gotten a great player.

The Crimson Tide had one of the best kickers in college football over the last few seasons in Will Reichard, but Reichard will be heading to the NFL this year. He set the NCAA record for the most points scored by a single player in a career.
Nicholson will have big shoes to fill at Alabama, but he had already been named the best kicker in the sport, so he’s already out to a fast start.
