Aaron Rodgers talks more about his decision

Aaron Rodgers took a darkness retreat recently as he scopes his plans for 2023. Rodgers is currently under contract with the Green Bay Packers. However, Rodgers could retire this offseason or ask for a trade. But first, he must make a decision.

After going on his retreat, the Packers’ four-time NFL MVP made his first public comments on the Aubrey Marcus Podcast. Rodgers didn’t release any details that weren’t previously known. According to Zach Jacobson with CBS Sports, Rodgers said he’d make his decision “soon enough”:

“I don’t want to drag anybody along. I’m answering questions about it because I get asked about it. I’m talking about it because it’s important to me. If you don’t like it and you think it’s drama, me being a diva, whatever –just tune it out, that’s fine. But this is my life; it’s important to me, and I’ll make a decision soon enough, and we’ll go down that road. I’ll be really excited about it.”

The longer he waits, the more Packers fans will grow irritated with the future Hall of Fame player. However, Rodgers has every right to decide when he wants to. He’ll have the next two weeks to think about it. The NFL’s new year does not start until March 15th. Then Packer general manager Brian Gutekunst must know Rodgers’ plans so they can plot for free agency.
