Aaron Rodgers is back in the spotlight

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went on a four-day darkness retreat recently. The four-time NFL MVP needed a chance to collect himself before he makes one of the biggest decisions of his career. Rodgers was contemplating a few paths he could take for 2023. He’s done with one part of the offseason journey, according to a new report.

Rodgers was considering retiring from playing football this offseason. The 39-year-old quarterback is under contract with the Packers for two more seasons. But he and the Packers management could trade the future Hall of Fame player for next season. After all, the Packers drafted Jordan Love in 2020 as Rodgers’ replacement.

According to a report by Xuan Thai with ESPN, Rodgers is done staying at the retreat:

“Scott Berman, who owns Sky Cave Retreats, said Rodgers left the dark room and the facility Wednesday…

According to Berman, the 300-square-foot room in which Rodgers spent his time is a partially underground structure devoid of light, with a queen bed, a bathroom and a meditation-like mat. It is fully powered, and the lights can be turned on from inside the room.”

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have to announce what their intentions are after the retreat. We’ll likely hear soon in the coming week or so.
