Aaron Rodgers, veteran quarterback, can be expected to go down either of two paths laid before him according to Ian Rapoport on ‘Good Morning Football’. Rapoport expects Rodgers to either join the Pittsburgh Steelers for the upcoming NFL season or simply hang up his cleats and retire from the game altogether.

Aaron Rodgers has been in the NFL since 2005 when he was selected by the team as the 24th pick in the very first round of the draft. After sticking with the Packers until 2022, Rodgers played for the New York Jets. In March, Rodgers was let go by the Jets and the quarterback is yet to state his commitment to any particular team despite many franchises showing interest in him.

“It does seem that Aaron Rodgers will either play for the Pittsburgh Steelers… or retire. Rodgers, in public interviews, talking on the ‘Pat McCafee Show,’ most recently, said that retirement was an option. If it’s not retirement, it does seem like the Steelers are the choice, something they are confident in… Really, everything they’ve done this off-season has been gearing toward Aaron Rodgers being their quarterback.” Ian Rapoport spoke about Aaron Rodgers on ‘Good Morning Football’.

Sometime back, Aaron Rodgers appeared on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and gave his perspective on his future in the NFL. The quarterback hinted that he may even simply retire from the game. Rodgers also admitted that any decision that he might take in terms of his future in the NFL has to be taken seriously, since it not only affects him but also those close to him.

Rodgers also admitted that he is in a serious relationship and was even spotted wearing what looked like a wedding ring at the recent Kentucky Derby. However, those close to him put wedding rumors to rest. Still, it looks like the veteran quarterback will be pretty calculative in whatever decision he makes about his future in the league.

In the same conversation with Kay Adams, Ian Rapoport also remarked that the Pittsburgh Steelers will have no choice but to wait for the quarterback’s decision, as to if and when he chooses to do so.

Rapoport also expressed curiosity as to why the process to bring in or not bring in Aaron Rodgers to their roster has taken so much time for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are eager to improve their performance in the upcoming NFL season after only managing to make it to the Wild Card round in the previous year.
