The Kansas City Chiefs can’t wait for the 2025 NFL season to begin. After their painful loss in the Super Bowl last February at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chiefs appear to have something to prove to the rest of the league, which is that they still are a team to beat.
With Patrick Mahomes still in the fold, Kansas City should be a tough assignment for any team that will cross paths with them in 2025. Speaking of which, the NFL announced on Monday that the Chiefs will be squaring off against the Denver Broncos in a Christmas Day game in Week 17.

The Kansas City Chiefs will go for another Christmas Day win

The Chiefs won 15 games in 2024, including a Christmas game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. In that game, Mahomes and company dominated the Russell Wilson-led Pittsburgh side.
Mahomes threw for a total of 320 passing yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 29-of-38 pass completions. Three different Chiefs caught Mahomes’ passing touchdowns, including superstar Travis Kelce, who led both sides with 84 receiving yards on eight catches and 11 targets.
The Chiefs and the Broncos split their two-game regular-season series in 2024, with Denver beating Kansas City in Week 18 at home, 38-0. It’s worth noting, however, that the Chiefs rested plenty of their starters in that contest.
