The 2024 NFL draft has finally arrived. It is now draft day eve after months of speculation and mock drafts. Here is my final mock draft and predictions for the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday night.
FINAL Mock NFL Draft
1. Chicago Bears – QB Caleb Williams (USC)
This pick is an absolute lock and Willaims is projected to be the Bear’s future franchise quarterback barring anything crazy happening on draft night.
2. Washington Commanders – QB Jayden Daniels (LSU)
With Williams off the board, this pick seems to be between Daniels and Maye. As of right now, the Commander’s next quarterback is projected to be Daniels which is who they select here.
3. New England Patriots – QB Drake Maye (North Carolina)
With Williams and Daniels already being drafted the Patriots decide to get their next franchise quarterback in Drake Maye.
4. Arizona Cardinals – WR Marvin Harrison Jr (Ohio State)
This situation works out great for the Cardinals as they can select generational wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
5. Minnesota Vikings (TRADE with LAC) QB JJ McCarthy (Michigan)
The Vikings are expected to trade up for one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL draft. Here they trade up with the Chargers to select JJ McCarthy.
6. New York Giants WR Malik Nabers (LSU)
The Giants also fill a huge need by selecting wide receiver Malik Nabers as they try to get quarterback Daniel Jones a new weapon.
7. Tennessee Titans OT Joe Alt (Notre Dame)
The Titans can fill one of their biggest needs with the best offensive lineman in this year’s NFL draft in Joe Alt.
8. Los Angeles Chargers (TRADE with ATL) WR Rome Odunze (Washington)
After trading back and missing out on wide receiver, the Chargers trade back up to get one of the best recovers in this NFL draft class in Rome Odunze.
9. Chicago Bears DE Jared Verse (Florida State)
After hoping Odunze would fall to them, the Bears try to pivot and add some pass rush help with Jared Verse
10. New York Jets TE Brock Bowers (Georgia)
After trying to solidify the offensive line during the offseason, the Jets get Aaron Rodgers one of the best weapons in the NFL draft in Brock Bowers.
11. Atlanta Falcons (TRADE with LAC) DE Laiatu Latu (UCLA)
After trading back a few spots with the Chargers, the Falcons get their new star edge rusher in Laiatu Latu.
12. Jacksonville Jaguars (TRADE with DEN) CB Quinyon Mitchell (Toledo)
With the top defensive backs starting to fall down the board the Jaguars trade up with the Broncos to get an aggressive corner in Quinyon Mitchell.
13. Las Vegas Raiders OL Talise Fuaga (Oregon State)
Instead of trading up for a quarterback the Raiders try to fill out their offensive line by adding one of the best linemen in the 2024 NFL draft with Talise Fuaga.
14. New Orleans Saints OT Olumuyiwa Fashanu (Penn State)
The Saints biggest need is on the outside of their offensive line. Here they add a left tackle with lots of potential out of Penn State.
15. Indianapolis Colts EDGE Dallas Turner (Alabama)
With Turner falling down the board the Colts decide to add a versatile edge rusher out of Alabama in Dallas Turner.
16. Seattle Seahawks OL Troy Fautanu (Washington)
With a hole at guard, the Seahawks add Troy Fautanu to fill the need and also play tackle in case of injury.
17. Denver Broncos (TRADE with JAC) QB Michael Penix Jr (Washington)
After their trade back with the Jaguars, the Broncos get their next starting quarterback in Michael Penix Jr.
18. Cincinnati Bengals DT Byron Murphy (Texas)
After losing DJ Reader in free agency the Bengals opt to add another versatile defensive lineman in Byron Murphy.
19. Philadelphia Eagles (TRADE with LAR) CB Terrion Arnold (Alabama)
To solidify they get the defensive back they want, the Eagles trade up a couple of spots to select corner Terrion Arnold.
20. Pittsburgh Steeler OT Amarius Mims (Georgia)
Here the Steelers add an athletic right tackle in Amarius Mims to keep improving their offensive line.
21. Miami Dolphins DT Jer’Zhan Newton (Illinois)
After the loss of Christan Wilkins, the Dolphins add a smaller athletic defensive tackle in Jer’Zhan Newton.
22. Los Angeles Rams (TRADE with PHI) CB Cooper DeJean (Iowa)
After trading back three spots with the Eagles, the Rams add a versatile defensive back who can play anywhere across the field in Cooper DeJean.
23. Los Angeles Chargers (TRADE with MIN) OL JC Latham (Alabama)
With their trade back with the Vikings, the Chargers get another first-round pick and use it to add another massive offensive lineman to their team.
24. Buffalo Bills (TRADE with DAL) WR Brian Thomas Jr (LSU)
With Brian Thomas falling down the board, the Bills trade up a few spots in the hope of finding their next superstar wide receiver.
25. Green Bay Packers OL Graham Barton (Duke)
With the top corners off the board, the Packers opt to add Graham Barton, who should be able to play anywhere across their offensive line.
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Kool-Aid McKinstry (Alabama)
After losing their top corners in free agency the Bucs add a smart cornerback from Alabama in Kool-Aid McKinstry.
27. Arizona Cardinals CB Nate Wiggins (Clemson)
After snagging Marvin Harrison Jr earlier in the draft the Cardinals add a great coverage corner in Nate Wiggins out of Clemson.
28. Dallas Cowboys (TRADE with BUF) C Jackson Powers-Johnson (Oregon)
After trading back with the Bills, the Cowboys add the centerpiece of their offensive line with Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson
29. Detroit Lions WR Adonai Mitchell (Texas)
After losing receiver Josh Reynolds in free agency, the Lions add another weapon in Adonai Mitchell to their explosive offense.
30. Baltimore Ravens OT Tyler Guyton (Oklahoma)
After losing key pieces of their offensive line in free agency, the Ravens decide to add an athletic tackle in Tyler Guyton.
31. San Fransico 49ers DE Chop Robinson (Penn State)
After losing Chase Young, the Niners add one of the most athletic players in the NFL draft in Chop Robinson to rush the quarterback across from Nick Bosa.
32. Kansas City Chiefs CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr (Missouri)
Instead of adding another wide receiver for Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs draft a new defensive back to try to replace LaJarius Sneed.
