Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown will be entering his third season in the city of Brotherly Love. He is one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL. The Eagles have a very talented offense and Brown is the number one receiving option in the offense.
Devonta Smith is the second wide receiver in this offense. What could make Philadelphia’s offense different this season is running back Saquon Barkley in the backfield. It could add a different dimension to this offense.

A.J. Brown started his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans. He was the 51st overall pick (second-round selection) in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss. It was a mistake when the Titans traded him away to the Eagles. It was one of the most dumbfounded moves Tennessee ever made and it was one of the best moves Philadelphia ever made.

There are some elite wide receivers in the NFL. It is good to know that Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is a part of the list. CBS Sports Pete Frisco has Brown ranked as the 27th-best player entering the 2024 season. Five wide receivers are ranked ahead of A.J. Brown.
They are Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders (26), CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys (21), Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals (13), Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings (7), and Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins (4). There is no arguing with this list because these are no doubt the six best wide receivers in the NFL entering the 2024 season.
Pete Frisco of CBS Sports said about the Eagles superstar wide receiver:
“In his second season with the Eagles, he had 106 catches after having 88 in 2022. He is a big, physical receiver who is a tough matchup for a corner. His big plays were down last season, but that was a product of the offense struggling more than the year before.”
The Eagles offense would look different without Brown. Devonta Smith is a nice number option in the receiving game too, but A.J. Brown presents a different element to opposing defenses that Smith does not.

Last season with Philadelphia, he caught 106 passes for 1,456 yards receiving and seven touchdowns, along with averaging 13.7 yards per catch. Brown was targeted 158 times. Quarterback Jalen Hurts will look to throw the ball down the field to him quite a bit once again this season.
