Ohio State is known to have produced the best wide receivers in the country in the past few seasons, making Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Marvin Harrison Jr first-round picks in the last couple of drafts. Still, a true freshman could be better than all of them.
Emeka Egbuka Shocked Many By His Return
Senior wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, who could have been a second-round pick or maybe even a first-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft, decided to return to school and be the leader in a very young Buckeye receiver room. Egbuka will be one of the best receivers in the country this season and will set himself up as one of the best receivers in next year’s draft class. Still, another receiver on Ohio State’s roster this season might be better than him, and he has yet to even play a snap in college.
Egbuka Has High Praise For One Of His Teammates
Pro Football Focus College X page posted a quote from Egbuka on Ohio State’s true freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith: “He has everything that you want in a prototypical wide receiver. “

Egbuka would know what a tremendous wide receiver looks like playing alongside Marvin Harrison Jr the last few seasons, and Smith could even be better than him.
Ohio State Will Get A Star In Smith
Smith was the number one player in his 2024 class and enrolled early at Ohio State. He participated in spring practices this year and the spring game. Smith has turned many heads in his first two practices with the team and will be a massive player for the 2024 Buckeyes.
