The NFL fans were loving Steve Belichick taking a shot at his dad at his dad in his most recent interview. Steve landed a job with Washington, while his dad remains jobless for 2024. Reporters asked Steve in his press conference about the differences between him and his father, and while they meant that in terms of personality or coaching style, Steve took that as opportunity to take a shot at his dad Bill Belichick.
Steve Belichick Trolls Bill Belichick In Recent Press Conference
In response to the reporters question about the differences between Steve and his father, Steve trolled his dad saying:
“I have a job and he doesn’t,” Steve added showing the difference between he and his father.
The shot at his dad came after the reports that Bill turned down multiple TV jobs this off season. While it does not appear that Belichick will be working in TV next season, Peyton Manning is still holding out hope to land Belichick to his production company.
“While ESPN continues to pursue Bill Belichick, Belichick has told networks he is disinclined to be part of a regular studio show, according to officials briefed on the talks,” Marchand wrote. “ESPN could combine with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and NFL Films to secure the legendary coach for a broadcasting role.”
NFL Fans Loved Steve Belichick Tolling Bill
The comment has since gone viral with many NFL fans loving that Steve trolled his dad in his first press conference. Here are some of the best fan reactions to the viral comment:
“i’m all in on stevie b. this is hilarious,” one fan said.
“Steve really just roasted his own dad…,” another fan said.
“He’s the only one who can get away with saying this,” one fan noted.
“might hop on the Steve Belichick bandwagon,” another fan added.
“I owe you an apology. I wasn’t familiar with your game,” said FOX Sports NFL writer Carmen Vitali.
“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree does it?,” one fan asked.
As the last fan mentioned, it is clear that the apple does not fall far from the tree for the Belichicks. Bill probably got a kick out of that if he has seen it.
