The New York Giants are getting busy and ready for the 2024 NFL Draft. General manager Joe Schoen has not only been busy scouting players, but he has also been busy upgrading the draft room in the organization.
On Tuesday, the Giants wrote on their Twitter page by saying:
“Proud to partner with
, our newest technology partner, to merge football performance with business operations & drive us forward. Take a look at our fully immersive, upgraded draft room, powered by Crestron.”
Many New York Giants fans were happy with the way the new draft room looked for the franchise. It was a major upgrade for them compared to the way former general manager Dave Gettleman did things for them before he left the franchise after the 2021 season.
New York Giants Fans React To The Franchise Upgrading Its Draft Room
Many Giants fans were thrilled and had to react on Twitter when they saw the new draft room for the organization. This is what some fans had to say on social media:
2 years ago, we had a guy with a 1990s Dell laptop doing his processing, and now we have one of the most modern performance tech on the market…
Giants are catching up. https://t.co/lT0FAFcICb

We’ve come so far. We’ve gone from the 4th pick to the 6th pick. pic.twitter.com/x4Q9qFZfRz

It is a joke from one of the fans that the Giants have gone from the fourth to the sixth pick, but when the draft was taking place in 2020, Gettleman had an old-time laptop. In 2024, the Giants draft room is more modernized now.
They are finally getting with the times and this was one of the problems with the New York Giants. They need to make changes in the front office and this was one of them. New York still needs to upgrade its roster and they will have the sixth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Instead of using magnets in the draft room, they can just pull up the information on a computer in the draft room. General manager Joe Schoen told Giants.com about the upgrades to the draft room by saying:
“The transformation in the draft room has been incredible, but it was the planning process and implementation of the technology solutions that was most impressive. Solutions that we thought were not possible were made possible by Crestron and it has completely streamlined and simplified our operation. To think that in years past scouts would be tediously lining up magnets on a board, and now we power on a screen and have everything we need at our touch … the modernization is invaluable.”
It will not only help them out for the early rounds, but it will help them out for the later rounds as well. The New York Giants fanbase is looking forward to the 2024 NFL Draft.
