The New England Patriots’ LG Cole Strange missed the start of OTAs because of a lingering knee injury that has affected him since last year’s training camp. Strange would miss four of their first six games and the last three of the 2023 season.
Jerod Mayo gave an injury update on Strange after Monday’s OTAs.
“That’s an interesting one,” Mayo told reporters on Monday when asked about Strange’s status. “Cole’s another guy; normally we’d say ‘day by day.’ He’s more of a ‘week by week’ or you could go ‘month by month’ if you want to. He is working hard, he’s doing his rehab, he’s here every day. He’s in the meeting room, so I’m happy where he is.”
A day has passed since Mayo’s comments, and Strange’s injury might be worse than expected.
