The Cleveland Browns finally entered the NFL Draft on Friday night, selecting two players. Each has a very wild story that connects the two players.
Cleveland Browns Took Michael Hall In The Second Round
The Cleveland Browns didn’t make their first pick of the NFL Draft until selection 54 in the second round, and they selected Michael Hall Jr., the defensive tackle from Ohio State, a very familiar player for many fans.
Hall is from Northeast Ohio, so he will get to stay in the area to play his professional football, but the former Buckeye wasn’t the only player the Browns came away with on Friday night, and their next pick has a very crazy connection to Hall.
Zak Zinter From Michigan Joins The Team
The Cleveland Browns closed out Friday night of the draft, selecting Michigan guard Zak Zinter with their third-round pick. Zinter, of course, went up against Hall at Ohio State the past few seasons since they are the biggest rivals in college football, but their 2023 matchup was one both will remember for sure.
Zinter started right guard for the Wolverines, and in their last regular season game in 2023, Michigan welcomed Ohio State to the Big House. With 2:19 minutes left to play in the third quarter, Zinter suffered an injury, breaking both his tibia and fibula.
It is horrible that Zinter broke two bones in his leg, but it’s very crazy because Zinter confirmed on Friday night that his new teammate and former rival Michael Hall accidentally fell on his leg and broke the two bones.
The Zinter And Hall Story Is A Crazy One
That is one wild story to have your college career end with a player accidentally falling on you and breaking two bones in your body, and then you and that player getting drafted to the same team just hours apart.
Both players are probably over what happened in the last few years in the rivalry and can’t wait to play with each other in the orange and brown.
