The Cleveland Browns struggled to stay healthy at quarterback last season. Two of their quarterbacks suffered season-ending injuries, and the team had to rely on 39-year-old Joe Flacco.
The Browns addressed the position in free agency by signing Jameis Winston and a QB from the AFC North.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson suffered a season-ending hip injury in their 36-22 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 16. Head Coach Kevin Stefanski praised Thompson-Robinson for working hard.
“He’s doing a great job in there,” Stefanski said. “He’s doing a great job in the meetings. We’ll see when he’s ready to go. That’s when the doctors tell us he’s ready, he’ll be ready.”
Dorian Thompson-Robinson was limited to eight games in his rookie season.
The Browns drafted Thompson-Robinson in the 5th round, 140th overall of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Thompson-Robinson won the backup quarterback job heading into his rookie season. He played in eight games, starting three. He completed 60 out of 112 pass attempts for 440 yards and threw one touchdown to four interceptions with a 1-2 record.
His first career start came in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens, where he completed 19 out of 36 pass attempts for 121 yards and three interceptions in their 3-28 loss.
His second career start came in Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he completed 24 out of 43 pass attempts for 165 yards and one interception in their 13-10 victory.
His third career start came in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos, where he completed 14 out of 29 pass attempts for 134 yards and one touchdown in their 12-29 loss. He exited the game with a concussion.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson will compete with Tyler Huntley for the QB3 job.
Thompson-Robinson will have to earn the QB3 job this offseason and compete with Huntley. Huntley will be in his fifth year and has played in 20 games, starting nine. He has completed 221 out of 342 pass attempts for 1,957 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions, with a 3-6 record in his career.
