The Buffalo Bills are going to be one of the most intriguing teams to keep an eye on heading into the 2024 NFL season. After trading Stefon Diggs and losing Gabriel Davis to free agency, no one knows what to expect from Josh Allen. Some think they’re going to fall off, while others believe they’ll be just fine.
Allen is truly facing a big season for his legacy. Can he continue playing at such a high level without his No. 1 superstar receiver? Or, was he a product of a great situation?
After losing Diggs and Davis, the Bills didn’t make any major moves to replace them. They did draft Keon Coleman in the 2024 NFL Draft, but outside of that they signed players like Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. None of those potions will replace the production that Diggs and Davis brought to the field.
However, there is still time before the start of the 2024 season for the Buffalo Bills to look at potentially trading for another wide receiver.
Buffalo Bills Trade For Intriguing Wide Receiver In 1 Trade Proposal
Bleacher Report took a look at eight potential trades that could happen following the 2024 NFL Draft. On their list was the Buffalo Bills pulling off a deal with the Tennessee Titans for Treylon Burks.
Here is what the trade that they suggested looks like:
Tennessee Titans Receive: 2025 Fifth-Round Pick, 2026 Sixth-Round Pick
Buffalo Bills Receive: Treylon Burks, 2026 Seventh-Round Pick
Looking at this trade, it would make sense for both teams.
For the Buffalo Bills, being able to acquire a talent like Burks would be a big step towards replacing Diggs and Davis. Granted, Burks has not been able to develop quite the way he was expected to develop. But, there is no denying the big-time potential he possesses for the future in the right situation.
On the other side of the trade, the Titans moving on from Burks for any decent value is a no-brainer. They signed Calvin Ridley and have DeAndre Hopkins as well. Burks hasn’t developed for them and being able to get a fifth and sixth-round pick for him would be worth the move.
During the 2023 season with the Titans, Burks ended up playing in just 11 games. He caught just 16 passes for 221 yards and no touchdowns. Back in 2022 as a rookie, he caught 33 passes for 444 yards and a touchdown in 11 games.
At 24 years of age, the Buffalo Bills should pull the trigger if a trade for Burks presents itself. He would be playing with an elite quarterback in Allen who could help unlock his potential.
It will be interesting to see what the Bills end up doing before the 2024 season. Do they keep their roster as is and see what happens? Or do they get aggressive and try to make a deal?
We’ll have to wait and see, but this is certainly an intriguing option to consider.
