The Philadelphia Eagles are set to get an opportunity for revenge from two years ago when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs for Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The Eagles are expected to lose some key pieces from the defense before free agency. Defensive end Brandon Graham, who was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, could be playing in his final game on Sunday.
Graham isn’t the only Eagles’ defender that is likely moving on.
The Philadelphia Eagles have a decision to make on an All-Pro

Per the NFL Network‘s Mike Garafolo, linebacker Zack Baun isn’t expected to re-sign with Philadelphia given general manager Howie Roseman’s past at giving linebackers new contracts.
“The Eagles are here today because of the two incredible value signings last offseason, linebacker Zack Baun and guard Mekhi Becton, Garafolo said. “That’s the good news. The bad news is both guys are due for huge pay raises as free agents this offseason. We’ll start with Baun, a defensive player of the year finalist after being a role player here in New Orleans.
“I talked to a personnel guy with another team who said he’s now showing he can do a number of things, including rush the passer so he should do it incredibly well as a free agent. The Eagles don’t usually spend at the linebacker position but we did say the same thing about running back last offseason, so we’ll see where that goes.”

The New Orleans Saints drafted Baun in the third round of the 2020 draft out of Wisconsin. The Milwaukee native was a consensus All-American in 2019 and earned All-Big Ten honors in 2019.
Zack Baun became a star in Vic Fangio’s system

Baun stepped up his game in 2024 when he signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in March. The six-foot-three, 225-pound athlete appeared and started in all 17 games for Philadelphia in the regular season, marking his first season as a full-time starter in the league.
Baun recorded 152 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a whopping five forced fumbles. For his efforts in 2024, the 28-year-old earned his first Pro Bowl nomination and All-Pro honors.
Baun earned himself a pay raise, and the Eagles will have to decide if paying the budding star is worth it. Baun should think about taking a discount to stay with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, a coach who was able to find and use the linebacker’s strengths.

Congratulations to you for winning the super bowl eagles is my favorite team.
GOD was surely with them. The team was running on all cylinders. Great job guys
When you have a player like Baun and has been free of injuries…be a good idea to get a deal done. Hoping Howie can work some magic with him and Becton!
