Will Campbell, newly drafted offensive tackle for the New England Patriots, recently displayed his competitive mindset in a video shared by a fan account on X. In the video, Campbell can be heard saying that playing on both offense and defense requires him to be “love violence”.
21-year-old Campbell was selected by the Patriots as the fourth pick in the very first round of the 2025 NFL draft. Before this, Campbell played college football for the LSU Tigers from 2022 to 2024. With Campbell’s addition to the team, the Patriots will hope that their starting quarterback, Drake Maye, receives more protection on the field to do his thing.
“You have to love violence to be able to play on the offense and defensive line… It’s a dog eat dog world. Whenever you’re going out there, it’s either you or him, and I want it to be me every time.” Will Campbell says in the video shared by LosTalksPats on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Apart from drafting Will Campbell, the New England Patriots also selected running back TreVeyon Henderson in the second round and wide receiver Kyle Williams in the third. The last of the ten players to be drafted by the Patriots in the 2025 NFL draft was Kobee Minor from Memphis in the seventh round. Armed with fresh talent from the draft and also their offseason moves, the Patriots will be eager to improve their performance in the upcoming NFL season.

Will Campbell’s New England Patriots To Take On Las Vegas Raiders In Season Opener
On another note, Will Campbell’s New England Patriots are gearing up to take on the New England Patriots in the opening game of the 2025 NFL season. Before their season-opener, the Patriots will warm up with three preseason games, against the Washington Commanders, the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants.

The Patriots did not do well at all in the previous NFL season and finished last in the AFC East with only four wins and 13 defeats. New England took on the Buffalo Bills in the final game of their season and won with a 23-16 final score. However, the win was too late for the Patriots to progress in the tournament.

Meanwhile, New England’s rivals in their season opener, the Las Vegas Raiders had a pretty similar season last time out. The Raiders finished at the bottom of the AFC West with four wins and 13 defeats, just like the Patriots.
