Aaron Rodgers is back for his second season in New York, and everyone hopes it’s a better one than the last.
Last season, just one drive into his Jets career, Aaron Rodgers suffered a brutal achilles injury against the Buffalo Bills and was out for the entire 2023-24 season, he almost made a miraculous comeback in the same season, but the Jets failing to push and or make the playoffs shut down Rodgers and that idea.
During that initial first season, Aaron Rodgers did an interview with WFAN’s Greg Giannotti, who has been on the morning show with Boomer Esiason for seven years, called the interview ‘the most awkward, horrible 18 minutes’ in the show’s history.
WFAN Radio Host Says Aaron Rodgers 2023 Interview was the “Most Awkward” Interview Ever
Giannotti Speaking to fill-in host Jon ‘Stugotz’ Weiner, who stepped in for Boomer Esiason for the week, Giannotti said
I’d rather you interview Aaron Rodgers than us after what happened last year.
And I’m dead serious about that. I don’t need another crack at that. I’m fine. Honestly, you can have that, I don’t need to interview him again.
Gregg Giannotti of WFAN New York’s ‘Boomer and Gio’ show does not look back fondly on their interview with Aaron Rodgers they hosted last year, as he went into more detail on how bad his interview with Aaron Rodgers was.
I don’t think he ever looked at us. Not one time … It was a combination of everything. It was him being upset, us freaking out when he wasn’t playing along,’ Giannotti said. ‘The whole thing was just turds in a blender.’
In the WFAN interview, Aaron Rodgers was asked about doing the dishes at his eight-bedroom, huge house in New Jersey.
But as the conversation continued, Rodgers said he ‘didn’t want to talk about where he lived’ – leading to some awkward music playing over the voices of the show’s hosts.
I led with, ‘Does he buy his own furniture?’ And he was not happy. Boomer went to a dishwashing story, he was even angrier,’ Giannotti told Stugotz, who works on the ‘Dan Le Batard Show.
Back in June, Aaron Rodgers missed the New York Jets mandatory minicamp, it was big news and Aaron Rodgers knew the consequences of missing it, but still did, here’s what star Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had to say about it in a recent Jets press conference.
I’m an adult, I knew it what I was getting into, I knew what the fine would be.”
