On Monday night, Washington Huskies fans thought the College Football Playoff National Championship game was “rigged” in favor of the Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines blew out the Huskies in the second half to win 34-13. Michigan won their first National Championship since 1997.
The Wolverines offense came out hot. They ran all over the Huskies defense in the first half to take a 17-10 lead into halftime. The Huskies defense stiffened up after the first quarter. But a few calls in the second half appeared to change the momentum in Michigan’s favor.
The Huskies were called for a controversial holding penalty on a 32-yard completion in the fourth quarter when they were trailing Michigan by a touchdown. The penalty killed the Huskies’ chances of scoring on that drive. Michigan scored a touchdown to go up two touchdowns on their next offensive drive.
A suspicious replay of the hold was posted on X by Dov Kleiman.
