The 2025 NFL draft is happening this Thursday night. But before that, Jayden Daniels and his fellow Commanders quarterbacks in Marcus Mariota and Sam Hartman, were spotted cheering for the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena, as Alex Ovechkin and company went up against the Montreal Canadiens in Game 2 of a first-round Stanley Cup Playoffs series.
The Caps are the toast of the town in D.C. at the moment, as they are considered among the favorites to win the Cup following a strong showing in the 2024-25 NHL regular season in which they went 55-22-9 for 111 points – the most in the Eastern Conference.
Daniels knows what it’s like to have all of Washington behind him and his team, as the Commanders also had DC cheering for them in the last NFL playoffs, where they went as far as the NFC Championship Game.

While many fans lauded Daniels and company for showing support for the Capitals, others wondered why his mom was not around with him. Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson, is always seen with Daniels, but that was not the case on Wednesday night.
“His mom not with em?”
“Where’s Daniel’s mom, I know she nearby 😄”
“Mommy let you out for the night Daniels ?”
“His mommy let him out?”
“Surprised his mom ain’t behind him”
“Mama at home watching this like “those guys chugging beers is a bad influence on my baby””
