NFL veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins attended Holland Christian High School and like every kid growing up in the state, he wanted to put on the Wolverines helmet one day, but for Cousins, that dream never happened.
The current Atlanta Falcons quarterback was on the Bussin With The Boys podcast and stated how he wanted to play for Michigan but was never offered.
“Growing up in the state of Michigan, if U-of-M offered me, I mean, come on. That’s an iconic program, and at the time Chad Henne’s the starting quarterback … But you have to understand I was so far not on their radar. Like I was nobody and they had Ryan Mallett committed to them and was signed and for good reason.”

The Michigan native would stay in the state but head to Michigan State, playing from 2008-2011, throwing for 9,131 yards and 66 touchdowns in 45 games.
Washington selected Cousins with the 102nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent six seasons there before heading to Minnesota for six, and now he will be starting the last part of his career in Atlanta.
