Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, could not hold back her surprise, just like millions of others, when the Dallas Mavericks won the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. The Mavericks had a minuscule 1.8 percent chance but shocked everyone when they won the first pick and moved up ten spots.
Kayla Nicole was just one among thousands who reacted to the news. Nicole re-shared the announcement post by the Dallas Mavericks’ official Instagram account, talking about how the NBA is basically the “best reality show”.
“For the first time ever, we won the LOTTERY,” the Dallas Mavericks official Instagram account captioned their post, announcing their major luck in securing the first pick of the draft.

Travis Kelce and Kayla Nicole were romantically linked from 2017 to 2022. Their relationship was rocky right from the start and the couple broke up and got back together several times before finally calling it quits in 2022. Kelce and Nicole apparently met on Instagram. Since their breakup, Kelce has been linked to pop-singer Taylor Swift.
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce will be eager to do better for his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, after performing poorly in the previous NFL season. In the 2024 NFL season, Kelce managed a total of 97 receptions for the team for 823 yards, scoring three touchdowns. In the Super Bowl between the Chiefs and the Eagles, the tight end failed to score and managed four receptions for 39 yards.

In other news, Travis Kelce recently wore a t-shirt with a wedding cake design printed on it with a grey jacket and trousers at the Amazon Upfronts 2025 event. The t-shirt design was immediately taken as a hint at the possibility of an upcoming wedding between Kelce and his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Kelce and Swift have been together since 2023, and it looks like things are getting pretty serious between the football player and the pop diva.
After Kelce’s abysmal show during February’s Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Kansas City tight end and Swift have been a no-show at several events, including the Coachella music festival and the recent Met Gala. The two lovebirds are reportedly looking for a home to settle down. Fans of both Kelce and Swift are keeping their fingers crossed for an engagement and a wedding pretty soon.
