Is it Harold Perkins Jr. than everyone else when it comes to linebackers in the 2025 NFL Draft?
Harold Perkins Jr. is perhaps the best athlete eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft, regardless of position.
A man who is an elite LB prospect, but could very well be the same as an EDGE rusher or safety, a massive season for Perkins Jr. and the LSU Tigers could toss the junior playmaker into the conversation for the first defensive player taken off the board as a whole in the 2025 NFL Draft.
2025 NFL Draft Pre-Season Linebacker Rusher Rankings
- Harold Perkins Jr. (LSU) — One of the most dynamic playmakers, regardless of position of any 2025 NFL Draft eligible player, Harold Perkins Jr. is in a class of his own when it comes to linebackers. Perkins is one of the fastest players on any field he touches, and he could very well be an elite EDGE prospect if he decided to be. Perkins can play anywhere on defense outside of cornerback, and even then, we wouldn’t put it past him to be decent at that given his insane athletic ability.
- Barrett Carter (Clemson) — If it weren’t for Harold Perkins Jr., Barrett Carter’s explosiveness would be the most talked about item in conversations surrounding the best linebackers in this class. No ball carrier is safe from sideline to sideline when Carter is on the field, and we expect that to be the biggest reason he’ll be the second LB off the board, next April.
- Abdul Carter (Penn State)
- Jalon Walker (Georgia)
- Jamon Dumas-Johnson (Kentucky)
- Dasan McCullough (Oklahoma)
- Danny Stutsman (Oklahoma)
- Smael Mondon Jr. (Georgia)
- Jay Higgins (Iowa)
- Derrick Moore (Michigan)
