The Texas Longhorns era will be a lot different during the 2025 college football season. For the last two seasons, Quinn Ewers was the starting quarterback, but Arch Manning will be the starter in 2025.

Manning played in some games in 2024 because Ewers missed a couple of games due to an abdominal/oblique injury. It will be interesting to see how the Longhorns offense will look under Manning in Steve Sarkisian’s fifth season at the helm. There is no doubt that he could be in the Heisman Trophy conversation for the 2025 college football season.
David Kenyon Of Bleacher Report Lists Texas Longhorns Quarterback Arch Manning As 1 Of Top 7 Quarterbacks Entering the 2025 College Football Season

David Kenyon of bleacherreport.com listed his top seven quarterbacks entering the 2025 college football season. One of his quarterbacks on the list was Manning of the Longhorns. This is not a surprise because he has a chance to potentially be in the Heisman Trophy conversation. Kenyon said,
“The hype is immense. Now, will Arch Manning meet it?
Because of the noise around him, it’s easy to overlook the transition on the Texas offense. Gone are its top three targets, along with four starters in the blocking group. Manning isn’t taking over a veteran-led offense.
Simultaneously, there is a ton of talent surrounding him. Ryan Wingo had 472 receiving yards as a true freshman, and DeAndre Moore Jr. caught seven touchdowns. Tight end Jack Endries (Cal) and wideout Emmett Mosley V (Stanford) should be impact transfers with several highly recruited freshmen up next.
Manning, whose mobility will add a new dimension to the Longhorns, has little excuse to not have a great season—even if that spectacular hype is a bit lofty.”
Manning during the 2024 college football season completed 67.8% of his passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also had a couple of rushing touchdowns for the Longhorns during the 2024 college football season. There were some Texas fans who thought Manning should have started in more games over Ewers in 2024.
Well, it is his team in 2025, and it will be interesting to see how things playout for them. Manning has a chance to become a Texas legend. They have not won a national title since the 2005 season when Vince Young was the quarterback. They will be one of the favorites to not only win the SEC conference because of Manning, but the Longhorns will also be one of the favorites to win it all in 2025 as well.
