The Cleveland Browns have many areas to fill this offseason. The most significant question mark is what to do at quarterback.
Cleveland has the No. 2 pick, and there’s much speculation that they will select either Miami’s Cam Ward or Colorado Shedeur Sanders as their next signal caller.

The Browns must find a cheap option to play quarterback since they’re still giving Deshaun Watson a boatload of money for the foreseeable future.
If Cleveland doesn’t want to draft Sanders or Ward, it could enter the trade market to find its next quarterback. On Friday, the Browns got some harsh news about the quarterback they could’ve been in play for.
Cleveland Browns Won’t Be Trading For Stafford

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been in trade talks recently. Cleveland was slightly interested in the Super Bowl Champion, but it never seemed possible.
Stafford was linked to the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders if the Rams were going to make a deal. However, the 37-year-old quarterback won’t be leaving the City of Stars after all.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rams and Matthew Stafford reached an agreement today on a restructured deal that keeps him in Los Angeles and quashes any and all trade speculation”.

Now that Stafford is heading back to the Rams, it hurts Cleveland in a few ways. The Browns obviously can’t acquire Stafford, so can’t the Giants and Raiders.
The Giants or Raiders could now possibly trade up and jump ahead of the Browns in the NFL Draft, taking whatever quarterback Cleveland was eyeing.
