The Texas Longhorns will not be having a spring football game this year. Head coach Steve Sarkisian announced that earlier this offseason.

The Longhorns have missed out reaching the National Championship Game for the last two seasons. Texas has a chance to take its game to another level next season when Arch Manning is the quarterback over Quinn Ewers. Spring football has Longhorns fans excited for the future of the program.

Despite losing a lot of talent to the NFL, Texas will be gaining a lot of talent back for the 2025 season. All eyes are going to be on Manning, who will take over as the starting quarterback. Ewers has been the starting quarterback for the last two seasons for this program, but he declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Sarkisian is looking for his team to grow into the spring as they get ready for the 2025 college football season.

There is no question that the Longhorns will have high expectations once again for the 2025 college football season. The Longhorns will be one of the favorites to win the SEC title along with the Georgia Bulldogs and the Tennessee Volunteers. Texas will look to prove all spring and all summer that they will be title contenders this season when it all leads up to the matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes to start the 2025 college football season on the road also.
