Former Star Texas Longhorns wide receiver Adonai Mitchell admitted to cheating in his combine presser Friday.
Mitchell, who started with the Georgia Bulldogs before transferring to the Texas Longhorns, said he steals other wide receivers techniques in regards to route running.
He went on to say that pacing himself when running routes allows to remain “in control.”

This isn’t the first time Mitchell admitted to utilizing other football players to improve his game. He praised the teammates on both of the college teams he played for ahead of the College Football Playoff in an article from Sports Illustrated.
“First of all, it has been great teams that I have been fortunate to play on and participate with. It was great teams and great leadership,” Mitchell said. “Being able to lean on guys knowing that you are not alone while you’re doing this. It is exciting and fun to have three 15 game seasons. It’s all worth it the whole year round. Offseason workouts, to fall camp to summer workouts, everything led to this stage here I am excited for everything.”

Former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Adonai Mitchell struggled to put up big numbers during his time with Georgia due to injury limitations. He had under 600 yards receiving during his two years with the bulldogs on just 38 receptions.
When Mitchell joined the Longhorns, he immediately became a weapon for star quarterback Quinn Ewers. Mitchell had 845 yards receiving on 55 receptions and 11 touchdowns.
Despite limited production throughout the first two years of his career, Mitchell always came up big in the biggest moments.

Adonai Mitchell was unable to replicate his late-game heroics when the Longhorns took on the Washington Huskies in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
