Unlike last season, quarterback CJ Stroud isn’t really lighting up the league right now. As it stands, a recent stat about him just came out and it’s bound to worry Houston Texans fans, along with how the team is performing lately.
Houston’s offense is currently facing significant challenges, particularly concerning Stroud and the overall effectiveness of the unit. Recent discussions highlight the impact of injuries on key players, which has hindered the team’s ability to maintain a consistent offensive rhythm. The quarterback has shown flashes of talent but has struggled under pressure, often due to a shaky offensive line that has not provided adequate protection.
Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik’s play calling has also come under scrutiny. Critics point to a lack of creativity and adaptability in the game plan, which has made it difficult for the Texans to exploit defenses effectively. As the season progresses, the coaching staff must find ways to adjust their strategies to better support Stroud and maximize the strengths of their remaining personnel.
The Texans have potential weapons in their receiving corps, but injuries have limited their availability. If the team can get key players back healthy, it could significantly boost their offensive output. Nonetheless, the integration of a young quarterback like Stroud into a struggling offense requires patience and time.
Looking ahead, the Texans need to prioritize both the development of Stroud and the improvement of their offensive line. Establishing a solid running game could alleviate some pressure off Stroud, allowing him to gain confidence and make better decisions.
Insane Stat About CJ Stroud Should Worry Houston Texans Fans
Just recently, it was revealed that Stroud gets hit a lot whenever he’s on the field. This can be seen in a stat shared by The 33rd Team on its official X account.

Along with taking a lot of hits this season, Stroud’s performance has regressed. Despite a strong start to the campaign, he struggled without key receivers, completing only 11 of 30 passes for 191 yards during a recent match against the New York Jets.
Meanwhile, New York’s Aaron Rodgers rallied in the second half, with the quarterback throwing three touchdowns after a lackluster first half during that game. While the Texans remain competitive in the AFC South, Stroud’s inability to replicate his impressive rookie form raises concerns about his development moving forward.
