The Dallas Cowboys are not done making moves prior to the start of the 2025 NFL season, and their franchise EVP has shared more on what fans can look forward to.
Despite having been criticized for the lack of major moves lately, the Dallas Cowboys seem to be picking up pace as Executive Vice President Stephen Jones boldly stated that the Cowboys “are not done.”
“[We’re] never done,” Jones said in a recent interview. “Like I’ve said it forever, 365 days a year is player acquisition, and certainly, if we see something that improves our football team, we’d make the move.”

The Dallas Cowboys have faced criticism for their lack of aggressive moves during the 2025 NFL offseason, particularly in free agency and the draft. Many analysts and fans expected the Cowboys to make high-profile signings, but they opted for bargain acquisitions instead, focusing on depth rather than star power.
Their reluctance to pursue top-tier free agents led to concerns that they were not doing enough to strengthen key positions, especially after losing Zack Martin to retirement and failing to secure a clear No. 2 wide receiver.

The Cowboys’ draft strategy also raised eyebrows, as they passed on selecting a running back in the first round, missing out on Omarion Hampton, who was picked by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Instead, they prioritized other positions, which led to frustration among fans who believed the team needed a stronger rushing attack. While they later made a surprise trade for George Pickens, adding another weapon for Dak Prescott, critics argue that their overall approach lacked urgency and boldness.
Dallas Cowboys EVP Shares Update on Micah Parsons’ Contract
In a recent interview, Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones was naked about updates on the issue of the contract extension for Micah Parsons.
“I’ve never been one to crystal ball when contracts get done,” Jones said. “You can be close, you think you’re right around the corner, and then they get pushed out and there’s extenuating circumstances as to why they or their agent don’t wanna pull the trigger.”
“So, that’s just a work in progress. It’s never easy to comment on them because you really don’t know where you are until both sides are ready to go. But obviously our goal is to, and we have visited at times with Micah, and our goal is to get him here. And I think Micah wants to be a Cowboy, and we want him to be a Cowboy long term.”

Micah Parsons has been with the Dallas Cowboys since he was drafted 12th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Since then, he has established himself as one of the league’s most dominant defensive players, earning two All-Pro selections and consistently ranking among the top pass rushers.
