Stephen A. Smith doesn’t understand the right’s outrage with President Donald Trump this week regarding the DOJ’s decision on the Jeffrey Epstein case. During an appearance on News Nation with Chris Cuomo, the NFL and ESPN pundit thinks MAGA supporters should be more thankful for what Trump has delivered.
Earlier this week, Attorney General Pamela Bondi closed the case on Epstein, claiming that he indeed killed himself, did not have a client list to release, or a history of blackmail.
Smith is confused why, amid a 30-day run that has delivered the America First crowd wins like bombing Iran, increasing the deficit by $3-5 trillion, capping taxes on tips, and opening the path to amnesty, MAGA supporters are fixated on the DOJ’s decision to close the Epstein case.
Stephen A Smith is confused

“Think about it, if you are on the right, you could not ask for better than what has done, because what he has done is what they have said they wanted and have been trying to get done for years, and even they admit that he’s doing their bidding,” Smith said. “Yet they’re in an uproar because the Department of Justice said there’s no client list and Epstein files is closed.
“Really, I mean, I’m wondering what I mean, I got to talk to Steve Bannon. I got to talk to him. I got, I got to talk to some of these people, you know, the Tucker Carsons of the world, and everybody going crazy over the Epstein client list. That’s what you’re concerned about?”

Smith thinks the MAGA crowd has better things to complain about than worrying that the government is protecting a possible former foreign asset or sex trafficker to the rich and famous, that allowed elites in the United States to get away with pedophilia, a somewhat bipartisan cause in Washington.
“I mean, you’ve got such a hard on for the president that you are losing your mind with all the things,” Smith said, using an unfortunate analogy given the nature of the matter. “Again, if you are a member of the right, you’re a centrist, you’re a leftist, you can’t be too happy with what he’s doing.
“But on the right, you have the audacity to look at this man like he’s the I mean, I want to be facetious, but you’re treating him like he’s the Antichrist right now because of the Epstein list, that’s what you’re mad about I do find myself a bit shocked by that. I’m like, (expletive), I expected, I expected folks on the right to have a lot better things to complain about than that.”
