The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl has certainly garnered a lot of press since the change in sponsorship. With the amount of marketing that has been behind this bowl game, people have been curious about what will this bowl do next.

The CW to Broadcast 2024 Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl
Earlier this morning, it was revealed The CW has agreed to broadcast the 2024 Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl. It is not the first time The CW has broadcast the Arizona Bowl. Last year, this bowl game drew in about 1.1 million viewers on the channel.
It ended up being one of the most viewed telecasts in 2023 for The CW. Now, the channel appears to be happy with last season’s success. This comes despite the fact the bowl has found a new sponsor for the 2024 edition.
Other Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl News
There are two other relevant updates to this bowl game for next season. As mentioned above, this is the first year that Snoop Dogg himself will sponsor the bowl game. Previously, Barstool Sports had sponsorship rights to the Arizona Bowl.
However, that is not the only way Snoop Dogg will sponsor the bowl. His beverage line, Gin & Juice, will be a major sponsor for this bowl game. He co-founded this beverage line alongside Dr. Dre.
On top of this, Snoop Dogg recently announced that players participating in the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl will receive NIL deals to participate. This will be another first for college football bowl games. As a result, it could mean fewer players end up sitting out of this bowl game compared to others.
What to Expect
So, what does this news mean for the bowl game? For one thing, the sponsorship changes do not seem to have deterred The CW from continuing its relationship with the Arizona Bowl.
There were definitely some controversial changes made to this bowl. For one thing, a rapper is now going to be the face of the Arizona Bowl. On top of this, Gin & Juice being involved stirs some controversy as the first alcohol brand ever directly part of a college football bowl game. Considering the minimum age to drink alcohol in the United States is 21, it certainly sends a mixed message.
Regardless, the addition of Snoop Dogg to the Arizona Bowl has certainly created a buzz. The CW may even see a ratings boost in next year’s Arizona Bowl.
