Shedeur Sanders has been compared with Joe Burrow by Tennessee Titans Head Coach, Brian Callahan. In a recent interview with ESPN, Callahan went on to compare the two players, especially in terms of arm strength. Just like Sanders, Burrow was also called out for his weakish arm strength, but made up for it through other means which proved to be just as valuable.
Shedeur Sanders is currently playing for the Colorado Buffaloes men’s football team, and is being eyed by a number of NFL teams, including the Tennessee Titans and the Cleveland Browns. The 22-year-old prospect was also seen speaking to a number of NFL representatives during the recent Shrine Bowl.
“People had questions about Burrow’s arm strength in general coming out. One of the things that makes Joe so unique, and I think you can probably put Shedeur in the same conversation. … They anticipate when they throw it, they have the timing and accuracy on top of it. That makes up for the arm strength. Those things are how you make up for maybe not having the biggest arm. If you’re throwing on time and putting a ball when and where you’re supposed to go, you’re not going to have too many problems.” Brian Callahan said to ESPN on Sunday.
The Tennessee Titans clearly did not do well in the 2024 NFL season and finished with three wins and 14 defeats. For their final game, the Titans were paired with the Houston Texans and lost miserably with a final score of 23-14. After losing yet another season, Tennessee’s previous coach, Mike Vrabel was fired.
Shedeur Sanders Might Play For New York Giants As Per Cam Newton
On another hand, Shedeur Sanders might soon play for the New York Giants according to Cam Newton, former Carolina Panthers quarterback. Speaking to ‘First Take’, Newton went on to say that if he was Shedeur Sanders, he would rather play for the New York Giants rather than the Tennessee Titans, and even managed to call it a “perfect fit”.
Newton also discussed other topics in terms of Shedeur Sanders, especially about his coachability. Until now, Sanders has been mainly coached by none other than his own father, Deion Sanders. Newton wondered if Sanders would be indeed receptive to another coach’s techniques for him, and also commended the player about his ‘intimidating’ aura.
Meanwhile, Sanders has already addressed this question after speaking to NFL refs during the Shrine Bowl. In response, Sanders remarked that it was important to move on and that he would be the ‘most guaranteed risk’ for any team he joins.
