Jamal Adam‘s Seattle Seahawk’s 2022 Training Camp injury had me wondering, haven’t the Seahawks hands been through enough?
Russell Wilson, week five, mallet finger. The official name of the scary looking finger that the camera hyper focused on. It didn’t seem broadcast friendly, and it definitely wasn’t stomach friendly. Top 3 on the queasy list. Number 2 was Dak Prescott‘s 2020 ankle injury, and the winner was easily Joe Burrow‘s 2020 knee injury. In recent NFL history that is.
Jamal Adams has said in the past two seasons that he dislocated his left ring finger 10 times, and his left middle finger 12 times. It wasn’t entirely surprising that he’s skipped Training Camp after the first session, saying something didn’t feel right. His left middle finger was broken during practice!
Jamal did return to camp on Monday, giving us all a thumbs up. Fingers crossed it’ll be a quick recovery.
Watch out though, Adams, you don’t want to have a hand like Anthony Munoz when you retire.
Another mishap at camp:
All hands are not on deck. Pete Carroll tested positive with COVID-19 on Monday, August 1st. As the oldest, and quite possibly the most active coach, it is hard to believe anything, including the virus could catch him. While fans our scratching our head over whether or not the Seahawks are rebuilding or reloading, perhaps Carroll can clue us in while he has some down time. Rest up, Coach Caroll, camp looks empty without you!
